Welcome to Revnous Bulk Pricing Editor (the "App"), provided by Revnous ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of the Shopify merchants who install our App ("you" or "Merchant") and the data associated with your Shopify store.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your information.

1. Information We Collect
When you install and use the App, we gain access to certain types of information from your Shopify account, based on the permissions you approve. We strictly practice "Data Minimization" and only collect the exact data needed to make the App function:

Merchant Information: Your Shopify store URL (your-store.myshopify.com domain), store name, store contact email address, store location, currency, and time zone. We use this strictly for functional purposes, technical support, and to send you service emails about the App. (Note: We do not access or store the store owner's personal name).

Product Information (Read Scope): We access limited product data, specifically product IDs, collection IDs, and price details. This is necessary for the App's core functionality (e.g., executing bulk price changes). We do not access full product descriptions.

Usage Data (via Mixpanel): We collect behavioral data regarding how you interact with the App's interface (e.g., button clicks, feature usage), including recordings of your sessions within the App's interface, to improve the product experience.

Performance and Technical Data (via Grafana Cloud and Sentry): When you use the App, your browser sends us technical data so we can measure how fast the App loads and responds and fix errors. This includes page load and interaction timings, error details, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you visit within the App, the timings of the App's requests to our servers, and a random session identifier. Your IP address is processed as part of sending this data. We remove Shopify session tokens and store identifiers from page addresses before this data leaves your browser.

Support Conversations (via Crisp): If you contact us through the in-App chat, we receive the messages and any contact details you provide.

Data We Explicitly Do Not Access: To be perfectly clear, our App does not access, read, or store any customer or order data whatsoever. This includes, but is not limited to:

Customer names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

Shipping or billing addresses.

Order histories, purchased items, or financial details (credit card information is processed exclusively by Shopify).

Government IDs or other sensitive personal identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:

To Provide App Functionality: Our primary use of your data is to power the features of the Revnous Bulk Pricing Editor, allowing you to seamlessly execute and manage bulk price adjustments.

To Provide Support: We may use your Merchant Information to contact you regarding support requests, App updates, or important notices.

To Improve Our App (Analytics): We track usage events and user behavior within the App's interface to understand where users experience friction. This helps us improve user experience, fix bugs, and develop new features. We process this data on the legal basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in optimizing our App. For this purpose, we use Mixpanel and Google Analytics as our analytics providers.

To Monitor Performance and Fix Errors: We measure how quickly the App loads and responds and record technical errors, so we can find and fix problems that slow the App down or stop it from working. We process this data on the legal basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a fast and reliable App. For this purpose, we use Grafana Cloud for performance monitoring and Sentry for error tracking.

3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers (Sub-processors): We use third-party service providers who process data on our behalf. These providers are bound by strict Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and are only permitted to use the data to perform services for us. Specifically, we use:

Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany), to host our servers and database, where the App's data is stored.

Mixpanel, to process usage events and session recordings for product improvement and tracking purposes.

Google Analytics, to measure how the App is used.

Grafana Labs (Grafana Cloud), to monitor App performance. This data is stored in a Grafana Cloud region in Europe.

Sentry, to record and diagnose technical errors.

Crisp, to provide in-App support chat.

ZeptoMail (Zoho), to send service emails about the App.

Slack and Telegram, to notify our team internally about App events such as installations. These notifications contain your store URL.

Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal request.

4. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention & Deletion
We store your store's data (Merchant Information, Product IDs and Collection IDs) only as long as the App is installed on your store. When you uninstall the App, we stop processing your store's data. Shopify then sends us a data deletion request 48 hours after uninstallation, and we automatically delete all data associated with your store from our active systems. This process is irreversible.

Performance and error data is kept by Grafana Cloud and Sentry for a limited period and then deleted automatically.

6. Cookies and Tracking
The App runs inside your Shopify admin. Our analytics and support tools (Mixpanel, Google Analytics and Crisp) use cookies and similar browser storage to analyze how Merchants use the App's interface and to provide in-App support chat. This data is used solely for improving and supporting our App. If you have questions about this tracking, contact us at contact@revnous.com.

For performance monitoring, the App keeps a random session identifier in your browser's session storage. It is removed when you close the browser tab.

7. Your Rights
As the Merchant, you have control over your data. You can access or modify your product data at any time through your Shopify admin. If you wish to have all your data removed from our service, you can do so by simply uninstalling the App.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page or by contacting you via email.
