Welcome to Revnous Bulk Pricing Editor (the "App"), provided by Revnous ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of the Shopify merchants who install our App ("you" or "Merchant") and the data associated with your Shopify store.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your information.
1. Information We Collect
When you install and use the App, we gain access to certain types of information from your Shopify account, based on the permissions you approve. We strictly practice "Data Minimization" and only collect the exact data needed to make the App function:
Merchant Information: Your Shopify store URL (e.g., https://www.google.com/search?q=.myshopify.com domain), store location, and time zone. We use this strictly for functional and technical support purposes. (Note: We do not access or store the store owner's personal name).
Product Information (Read Scope): We access limited product data, specifically product IDs, collection IDs, and price details. This is necessary for the App's core functionality (e.g., executing bulk price changes). We do not access full product descriptions.
Usage Data (via Mixpanel): We collect non-personally identifiable behavioral data regarding how you interact with the App's interface (e.g., button clicks, feature usage) to improve the product experience.
Data We Explicitly Do Not Access: To be perfectly clear, our App does not access, read, or store any customer or order data whatsoever. This includes, but is not limited to:
Customer names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
Shipping or billing addresses.
Order histories, purchased items, or financial details (credit card information is processed exclusively by Shopify).
Government IDs or other sensitive personal identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
To Provide App Functionality: Our primary use of your data is to power the features of the Revnous Bulk Pricing Editor, allowing you to seamlessly execute and manage bulk price adjustments.
To Provide Support: We may use your Merchant Information to contact you regarding support requests, App updates, or important notices.
To Improve Our App (Analytics): We track usage events and user behavior within the App's interface to understand where users experience friction. This helps us improve user experience, fix bugs, and develop new features. We process this data on the legal basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in optimizing our App. For this purpose, we use Mixpanel as our analytics provider.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers (Sub-processors): We use third-party service providers who process data on our behalf. These providers are bound by strict Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and are only permitted to use the data to perform services for us. Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal request.
4. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We store your store's data (Product IDs and Collection IDs) only as long as the App is installed on your store. Upon uninstallation of the App, we automatically delete all data associated with your store from our active systems. This process is irreversible.
6. Cookies and Tracking
As mentioned, we use cookies and similar tracking technologies to analyze how Merchants use our App's interface. This data is aggregated and anonymized where possible and is used solely for improving our App. Our cookie banner provides you with control over this tracking.
7. Your Rights
As the Merchant, you have control over your data. You can access or modify your product data at any time through your Shopify admin. If you wish to have all your data removed from our service, you can do so by simply uninstalling the App.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page or by contacting you via email.
